Most people feel that fashion is reserved for only those who can afford designer labels. Being able to buy an expensive purse doesn’t label someone as fashionable. It’s just a matter of figuring out what to spend your money on, whether to splurge or save on the item.
Determine what your essentials are. Wardrobe basics and denim is what I usually spend most of my money on. I wear denim and dainty jewels frequently so that’s where I would invest my money. There are also other staples such as pencil skirts, blazers, coats, and a good dress shirt. Basically something that you would wear often is where you can spend most of your money.
That brings me to my ugly sandals I found on sale at Joe Fresh. There’s just something so cool about them and I can’t stop wearing them. Like most trendy pieces, I didn’t splurge on these. There’s no point as they come and go. Incorporating a couple pieces into my wardrobe each season helps me stay modern and “with it”. Try stores like Zara, H&M, and Forever21 for trendy affordable pieces. They have so many trendy pieces that are affordable and perfect to coordinate with more expensive classics.Shop my look:
