Everything I’ve been attracted to lately has been anything with rips and holes. Classy, I know. 😉 I have to admit that these jeans have also been on repeat a number of times since I got them. I can’t help myself. It’s just a basic outfit that I go back to again and again.
So quick story about these shoes I’m wearing on this post…These were gifted to me by my sister before I left to live in the Dominican. I don’t know what was going through my head at the time but they were the only shoes I thought to bring with me. Working there, I didn’t earn enough money to pay for anything other than the basic necessities. I don’t mean the outfit basics, but things like rent, gas, food. You know…the things adults worry about. Didn’t help that I lived in a tourist area where the prices were jacked up. Not even joking with you guys, these sandals were it. I wore them pretty much everyday so I guess I was a hardcore minimalist back then. I remember sitting in our apartment back in the Dominican and just staring at these shoes. I remember thinking how I took so many things for granted in Canada. I had tons of shoes and clothes, enough to cloth an army. Ok maybe not at that time, but you get the point right? I also felt like I took my family for granted. I missed them so much. These shoes also reminded me of my family and helped a tiny bit whenever I was homesick. Talk about being a shoe sentimental.
