Happy Spring my loves! The closing of an old month calls for another monthly favourites post. Let’s jump right to the good stuff.
1. Dior Primer Mascara – So I have a ton of lashes but they are stick straight and can’t hold a curl. It’s kind of annoying, but I’m learning what works best for me. I got my lashes professionally done a couple times but the upkeep was just too expensive and every time they would grow out, my lashes would feel bald. I don’t know how good it is for my real lashes either. Lucky for me, I was given a little sample size of this Dior primer serum mascara at Sephora. I heard some good things about this eye primer but I never really bought into the hype. That is, until I tried it. I have added this to my daily regime and probably going to be purchasing the full size when I run out.
2. Acai Powder – Hype or no hype, I’m really loving this stuff. As a fan of anything that end with –erries, I approve. It’s an antioxidant-rich fruit that has many benefits. The benefits are endless. You can type in “Acai Berry” on google and it’ll come up with a number of benefits and more information on it. Breakfast bowls have been something I make every morning. It’s so filling! My bowl consists of 1-2 teaspoons of Acai powder, Greek Yogurt, 2 frozen bananas and other frozen fruits (whatever is available in my freezer). I’ve linked where I purchased the one I’m currently using here. Which brings me to my next favourite thing at the moment.
3. Spud.ca – Grocery shopping just got easier. I’ve personally been a bit frustrated with grocery shopping lately. We probably go on the worst day of the week where it’s jam packed and by the time I get there, all the good produce is gone. So when we heard about buying groceries online, we decided to order through the site. I love the idea of knowing where my food comes from. Yes, organic is expensive, but there’s a reason why. I will share my full thoughts on this and the Spud service on a separate post. For now, you can use the code VICANB to get $20 off with a minimum order of $50.
4. Cacao Powder – Don’t mistake this for “Cocoa powder”. This stuff is the raw, unprocessed form of chocolate. Like I mentioned earlier, breakfast bowl has been my thing lately. When I don’t have an acai bowl, I switch off to the cacao bowl consisting a teaspoon of Cacao Powder, 2 frozen bananas, and coconut milk blended with my Vitamix. When I feel like living on the wild side, I go ahead and top it off with some granola and almonds. It tastes a lot like a Wendy’s frosty. Icecream for breakfast? Yes please.
